- 01Generally, no. The C-Type e-Visa is strictly a short-stay authorization allowing a maximum stay of 90 days within a 180-day period. Extensions are extremely rare and are only granted by the local Border and Migration Directorate in exceptional, highly documented circumstances (such as severe, unexpected medical emergencies). If you intend to stay longer, you must apply for a D-Type Long-Stay Visa prior to entering Albania. Overstaying without formal approval may result in fines, entry bans, and future visa complications.
- 02A Single-Entry visa allows you to cross the Albanian border only once; if you leave the country, the visa expires immediately, even if you haven't used your 90 days. A Multiple-Entry visa allows you to leave and re-enter Albania several times within the visa's validity timeframe, provided your total accumulated stay does not exceed the 90-day limit. You can review all Visa Types and Prices to understand which option best suits your travel history.
- 03No. All government processing fees (whether Standard or Express) are strictly non-refundable. The fee covers the administrative and security reviews required under Albanian immigration policy, regardless of whether the final decision is an approval or a refusal. For more details, please review our official Refund Policy.
- 04Yes. Every individual entering the Republic of Albania, regardless of age, must possess their own approved e-Visa. Applications for minors must be submitted by their parents or legal guardians. You will also be required to upload additional documents, such as a notarized birth certificate and parental consent letters, during your Step-by-Step Application process.
- 05If you are catching a connecting flight, remaining strictly within the international transit lounge of Tirana International Airport, and your layover is less than 24 hours, you typically do not need an e-Transit Visa. However, if you need to pass through passport control to recheck baggage, change terminals, or stay at a hotel outside the airport, an e-Transit Visa is mandatory.
- 06If your application is refused, you will receive an official notification detailing the specific reason (e.g., insufficient financial proof, invalid hotel bookings, or poor document quality). A refusal does not permanently blacklist you, but repeated refusals may affect future applications. While you cannot appeal an e-visa refusal, you can troubleshoot common Visa Application Issues and immediately reapply by submitting a brand new application with corrected documents. Please note that a new processing fee will apply.
- 07The Albania C-Type e-Visa is a short-stay authorization. While the visa itself may be valid for up to 180 days from the date of issuance, it strictly limits your physical presence inside Albania to a maximum of 90 days within that 180-day window. The exact validity and expiration dates will be clearly printed on your approved electronic visa PDF.
- 08As of 2026, the standard government processing fee for most Albania C-Type visas (including e-Tourist, e-Transit, and e-Short Stay) is 60€. However, categories requiring deeper corporate or local verification, such as the e-Business Visa, e-Medical Visa, and e-Visit Visa (Family/Friends), cost 120€. If you require expedited processing within 24 business hours, the Express Visa service adds an additional premium to these base fees.
